In 2002 I started researching the internet for this special type of breed and I was so amazed to find they were called "The Egyptian Mau Cat". I contacted several people about sending me some Egyptian Mau Cats with breeding rights but couldn't really find anyone in Canada so I ended up contacting breeders in the US and finally at the beginning of 2005 I found a senior couple that was retiring and they sent me 2 beautiful Silver Spotted cats in March, 2005: Alexin and Regina. Then in October, 2005 a beautiful smoke kitten was sent to us. We called her Nightshade.
